The Wayward Winds Polo

I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase, “I wouldn’t want to be a member of a club that would have me as a member.” That quote is credited to Groucho Marx. Most of us are too young to remember Groucho Marx but he was one of the great comedic geniuses of his day. The Wayward Winds polo shirt has a similar meaning to what he quoted so many years ago.

It’s a shirt design that basically says, “I’m not preppy or entitled, but i’ll wear it if I need a collared shirt for a boat club or a golf club that requires collared shirts.” At least I’ll be wearing the Wayward Winds Logo that says, “I think it’s stupid that you’re telling me what I have to wear to gain entrance into your club.” I guess the best thing to do is to avoid places like that in the first place! But I have the gear if the occasion presents itself.

I occasionally play golf and most courses require a collared shirt, so I wear this polo for those occasions. I don’t wear the big brand names or fancy designer golf gear. I don’t hang at fancy elitist clubs, I don’t play golf with professionals, and I’m an average amateur golfer at best, so I could care less about wearing fancy clothes. I used to buy into all that stuff until I realized it was meaningless. I choose to wear the Wayward Winds brand because it is basically a five finger salute to anyplace or anybody that looks down on you for what you wear!

Everyone is welcome into the Wayward Winds Club. Collared shirt or not!

Cheers!!!

David
